Abraham Lincoln Quote

I am not at all concerned about that, for I know the Lord is always on the side of right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lordís side.

Just a few thoughts
Just a few ideas that I had as I was riding the bus home this week.

Why does President Obama always want to tax the rich? He isn't talking about taxing those who already are rich. What he really means is that he will tax those more who would become rich. Those that are rich now are not taxed retroactively on income that they have already made. This has the effect of making it more difficult for people who arenít rich to become rich. Instead more money goes to the government who determines who gets it. And those who are rich can pull more strings and lobby more for the money the government has. It has the effect of creating an even starker difference between the rich and the poor. Taxing the rich is more about growing the power and size of government, which is what our founding fathers feared the most. Any kind of power centralized in too few people can go horribly wrong. Just ask the Germans with Hitler, the North Koreans with that crazy dictator family, the Russians and Stalin and the Chinese and Mao.

The Democratic party is in the business of creating more people who are dependent on government. Their message is simply that certain groups of people cannot have success without the help of the government. Is this message true or just something they have invented? Is this their story line and how true is it? Check out their website and see the group of people they claim would not succeed without the government. Can these groups of people succeed without the helping hand of the government? If not, why? If so, why? What does this say about the Democratic Party? It says that they believe certain groups of people cannot succeed without them. How arrogant is that.
