Grover Cleveland Quote

"I do not believe that the power and duty of the general Government ought to be extended to the relief of individual suffering. . . . A prevalent tendency to disregard the limited mission of this power should, I think, be steadfastly resisted, to the end that the lesson should be constantly enforced that though the people support the Government the Government should not support the people Federal aid in such cases encourages the expectation of paternal care on the part of the Government and weakens the sturdiness of our National character."

Socialism and America
If I were to destroy America, the first thing that I would do is work to create divisions among Americans. This is exactly what the enemies of America, the socialists, are doing. I would strive to create divisions that supersede the idea that we are all Americans first and foremost. Not surprisingly, this has been accomplished by the federal government in the form of race-related laws that now fill our law books. Now many Americans think of themselves as part of an ethnic group. Why do they do this? Because it pays financially for many Americans to so. The federal government grants many races special benefits just because they have the right color of skin. Now why would the federal government do this? It is obvious that the only purpose this serves is the purpose of destroying and weakening America. America is only as strong as the unity of its people. To do anything to weaken this unity is to threaten the sovereignty of America. So it would seem that the creation of these race-related laws and of the idea that Americans are first part of an ethnic group and second an American must come from the enemies of America. These enemies were and still are socialists. Socialists have fought for over a century to include America into her fold. Socialists believe that private property should be outlawed, that the government and community should decide all matters of significance or importance. They have been working for decades to bring their form of tyranny and government domination to America. And to a large measure, they have done so. Race-related laws have no place in our Constitutional government, yet are still allowed. No race should benefit at the expense of others. To divide us or classify us by race smacks at every value that the founding fathers fought for. They fought for equality and freedom under the law, for a blind law, a law that cares little about ones race or ethnic makeup. They wanted to create a country where people thought of themselves as Americans first, a country committed to the idea of private property and personal responsibility. Socialism could never take hold in a country like this because it is an inferior system when it comes to providing wealth and material security to a people. Yet the socialists were committed to their ideals, as all fanatical groups are. Fanatics care little about evidence and more about ideals. Socialists realized that they could not defeat America and bring her into the fold using a frontal attack. Instead, they worked within the system to subvert the system. They used Congress to create laws that treated people unequally, that divided people by classes of rich and poor, by race, etc. Over a long enough period of time, people have changed their mindset from that of an American first to that of a poor person or rich person or one of many different races first. No longer to most Americans think of themselves strongly as Americans first. This kind of thinking has allowed socialism to take hold. Most Americans don’t realize that this is going on. They are kept busy by the government working hard to pay for all the taxes they must pay. The government, run by committed socialists (those who believe in big government), have realized that by keeping the people busy with taxes and regulations and debt, they can control the people.

Much of what is happening to America these days and for the last century or so is directly related to socialists and their commitment to destroy America and bring her under control of committed big government folks. Just look around you. Think about what is going on. In the early 1900s, we were given a central bank (the Federal Reserve) which is a staple of communism. In the early 1900s, we received a progressive income tax, which allowed the government to take up to 100 percent of your income. Before that, federal income tax was no more than a few percentage points of one’s income. In the 1920s came big government in the form of massive regulation of many of the industries. Not surprisingly, America experienced the Great Depression only after such stifling regulation and control by the federal government. In the 1935, America received a promise of financial security under social security. How secure do you actually feel with this promise? In the 1960s, we received government sponsored health care. Not surprisingly that is when the cost of health care began climbing and now look at the mess we have today. Is it really surprising to anyone that giving away something for free would increase its usage? And now, we have the promise of universal health care. Does this sound like the freedom loving, personal responsibility America that our founding fathers fought for or does it sound like the socialism or big government control that socialists have fought for over a century to see implemented in America. My question to Americans is “When will you wake up to what is going on and reassert your freedom?” It is so obvious what is going on right now if one will only read and open their eyes. America is slowly being torn apart at an increasingly alarming rate by people who want socialism in America instead of freedom.
